After 3 years living in Portugal I can say for now that my favorite region so far have been the Alto Alentejo. Cork trees and gorgeous landscapes but a bit greener than the centre of Alentejo are the reasons why I love to go for a hike there.
PR5 NIS A descoberta de São Miguel
This beautiful hike is probably one of the most underrated in the region of Nisa. It starts in a beautiful village called Pé da Serra. From there you follow a beautiful path all the way up to the Serra de São Miguel. Typical fauna and flora can be spotted all along, surrounded by enchanting lavender and pine scents.
Once at the top there are several viewpoints or “Miradouros” where you can enjoy gorgeous view of the village below.
