Deep in the mountain not far from the Lousã forest, you’ll find the gorgeous Passadiços da Ribeira das Quelhas.
This lovely route takes its name from the river it follows, which can be seen as you climb higher and higher in the mountains.
A great quantity of European oaks provides a well needed shade at the beginning of the hike. They are well mixed with plenty of other species, all fed by the water of the river.
On your way to the top, you’ll be able to enjoy a bath and a picnic along the river, where you’ll find a great number of cascades available. Flora and fauna are, as always, gorgeous and abundant.
