I can hardly remember the last time I was surrounded by such colors. Or even seen tropical plants healthy growing healthy outside of a greenhouse.
The Botanical Garden of Lisbon is clearly one of the most colorful I’ve seen.

Tropical plants paradise
As you can see, this botanical garden is a real paradise for tropical plants lovers. Strelitzia, Palm trees, Monsteras, everything an urban jungle lover will appreciate!
Impressive old trees
I have rarely seen so many old trees standing together in a city botanical garden.
The Jardim Botânico da Universidad de Lisboa is situated not far from Bairro Alto. The exact address is:
Rua da Escola Politécnica 56/58, 1250-102 Lisboa, Portugal
Usually open from 9am to 8pm (April to September) or from 9am to 5pm (October to March), the admission fee is 3 euros.
You can easily go there by bus (stop Rua da Escola Politécnica or Príncipe Real).
